The whole warehouse by scan
The Warehouse Client brings 15 warehouse processes straight to the packing station and the handheld scanner – from goods receipt to stocktaking. Every posting lands in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central instantly, with no middleware, over a secured OData v4 API.
15 modules, controlled globally and per terminal
Enable exactly the processes a workstation needs – globally in Business Central and, for most modules, additionally per device. Every disabled tile disappears from the app menu.
Inbound & outbound
Goods receipt by scan with progress tracking, lots, serial numbers and expiration dates, goods issue with checking, packing, weighing and shipping label – in three selectable operating modes, optionally with one parcel label per package.
Picking
Pick List bundles orders without BC warehouse management (confirmation by scan, quantity or check-off), Warehouse Activity works through BC inventory picks by scan – including serial numbers.
Bins & WMS
Stock transfer (bin-to-bin and location-to-location), inventory count with count list (cycle counting) and optional blind counting, bin put-away and bin replenishment – up to full directed put-away and pick.
Lookup & returns
Item lookup (stock, bins, lots/serials, prices, item ledger entries), returns as credit memo or return order, and complaints with invoice reference and status tracking. Reasons come from the BC return reasons; a sales return order or credit memo is created with one click in Business Central.
Labels & weighing
Label print for item and shelf labels via ZPL or as PDF, item weighing with net/gross weight written straight to the item card, plus a bulky-goods warning.
Putaway & photo
Putaway assigns a shelf number to items by scan. Photo documents paperwork and damages – as a document attachment on the BC document and visible right away in the "Warehouse Photos" FactBox.
Two operating-mode switches, one client
The Warehouse Client covers both the lean order warehouse and the fully bin-managed BC WMS – without a separate app. Two central switches in Business Central define how you pick and ship.
Warehouse Mode
Order Picking (without BC WMS): pick directly against orders, bundle multiple orders into one pick list.
BC Warehouse Picks (with WMS): picking against BC inventory picks – bin by bin, by scan.
Goods Issue Mode
Posted Shipments: the office posts the delivery first, the terminal verifies it by scan and creates the shipping label.
Sales Orders: the terminal works directly on the released order – including partial quantities – and posts the scanned quantities as a shipment on dispatch.
Inventory Picks: goods issue confirms the picked quantities, creates the label and only then posts the pick – if the label fails, nothing is posted.
Pack mode (multi-parcel)
Split one shipment across several packages: scan the packaging, assign the items, close each package with its weight – in the end you get a separate parcel label per package.
Available in Posted Shipments mode, enabled via the Multiple Packages switch globally or per terminal.
Scanner, scale, printer – directly connected
Scanning
Keyboard scanner (USB), Zebra DataWedge – the app creates the profile itself at startup – or camera scanning on devices without a scanner. EAN/GTIN, serial and lot numbers, bin codes.
Print & label
ZPL thermal printing (Zebra) for shipping, item and shelf labels, delivery note and PDF labels on the Windows printer, optional auto-print after posting.
Scale & weight
TCP/IP network scale, net/gross weight, bulky-goods warning above a weight threshold in kg.
Login & licence
Device sign-in via Microsoft Entra ID (MSAL), employees by badge + PIN – without their own Microsoft account – or by QR badge (Android). Licence stays server-side in BC – the device app is free.
Terminal control
Modules, printers and allowed shipping agents per device. QR pairing in seconds, kiosk or window mode for Windows, self-registration. 3 terminals included, more available as an add-on.
Dashboard & audit
"Warehouse Today" control panel: today's shipments, goods receipts, picks and scans, pending work, terminals & locks, scan error rate – every figure opens the filtered list with one click. Complete scan log per employee.
Native, without middleware
The app talks to Business Central directly over a secured OData v4 API. No intermediate servers, no passwords on the device.
